Clubs and Groups

Our Probus Club sponsors several Groups and Clubs which are open to all members. They (usually) meet monthly, some have a set location, some rotate among members.

Current Affairs Group

Members meet to discuss news topics of local, provincial, national, and international interest. They meet the third Tuesday of the month from 10 to 11 AM in the library of the Gloucester Presbyterian Church. Group size is limited to 12.

Craft Group

The craft group is open to anyone who wants to express their creativity in a handicraft. People who knit, crochet, do needlework, sketch, colour, are all welcome. They meet at the Billings Bridge Shopping Centre food court on the second Thursday of the month from 10.00 AM to noon.

Sip and Savour

Sip & Savour events are social get togethers held the first Wednesday of the month from 7 to 9 PM. Each member brings their own beverage and a plate of appetizers to share. Members take turns hosting.

Book Club

The book club meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 1:30 PM. They take turns hosting the meeting with the host choosing the book and providing light refreshments. The group is limited to 7 members.

Euchre

Euchre enthusiasts meet on the second Wednesday of the month at 1 PM. We will teach you how to play if you want to learn. Hosting rotates between members of the group.

Bridge the Gap

The Bridge the Gap club meets the last Friday of the month at 1:00 PM.

Clubs are part of Probus and, as such, members are covered by our insurance. Non-members attend at their own risk.
